The Night Sky & the Beatles. Wednesday, November 16

So close to land now.  We get into Boston early tomorrow but I just read in the newsletter that we have to present ourselves to immigration officials onboard with our passports at 10:15.  So there goes my chance to get up to the Salem Witch Museum.  Oh well.

Tonight the astronomer from our lecture is having a session on Deck 14 at 10pm to look at the night sky.  The Leonid Meteor showers are happening, so maybe we'll see some and maybe also see the SuperMoom and some planets.  Yesterday's sunset was amazing.

Update:  too overcast to see anything.  And very wavy--water splashing high from pools.

Formal night tonight and the show afterwards is The Beatles: A Musical Celebration. Rest of the day for relaxing.

Update:  Beatles show was great--almost like being back in the sixties.

My favorite entertainment of the whole cruise--a band from Liverpool pretending to be the Beatles--sounded like them and looked very much like them, especially John:

I think this is the day Ray went ice skating, so I'll put his best video here:
