One thing this illness has helped me do was catch up on my reading. So far, I have read:
Mary, called Magdalene--found by Ray on the Isle of Iona for me to read
Tell No One by Harlen Coben--good mystery
Rhenigidale by Kenneth MacKay, who spent many years trying to get a road built to this far out of the way village on the Isle of Lewis and was finally successful.
The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins--excellent, though I kept envisioning Emily Blunt in the role of the girl as she is in the movie that I haven't seen yet, and the description of the character didn't really fit her but it wasn't an impediment to the reading of it. Even the writer says she had a problem with the choice of Emily to play the girl until she saw the completed project and was blown away. Now would like to see the movie.
Today is sunny but still windy and cool, so don't know yet if I am venturing out or not.
Later: so my not eating out record will stand. It is 1pm and it is still overcast and very windy. No sense taking a chance on making this cold/bronchitis worse by going out to see some beautiful beaches. Sad. But I am trying to be nature and do the right thing so I can get well sooner and not make the rest so this vacation as miserable as this week has been. Thank goodness we went at a breakneck speed seeing sites earlier in the week.
So tonight it will be pizza and then packing for our ferry trip tomorrow to the Isle of Skye, quite possibly my most favorite place in the world.
Had to add this before I forget--news reporter fr BBC4 was talking about the latest news about the FBI reopening the Clinton email scandal investigation because more emails were found. He used the term "cock-a-hoop"--Saying Trump will likely be in a state of cocky-a-hoop over this. Well, my goodness, this warranted a look up. It is an English term FROM THE 16th CENTURY! And means being in a state of elation or boastful high spirits. Yes, I suppose dear Mr. Trump may very well be in a state of cock-a-hoop. Let's hope it is short-lived.
