DisneyWorld Marathon

We had a wonderful trip down to DisneyWorld for Ray’s Marathon.  And he had a great run with a great time of 3:52:26, which means he qualified for Boston again, so guess where we’ll be going next April.

We stayed at Port Orleans for 3 nights then moved over to Kidani Village at Animal Kingdom Lodge where we weren’t supposed to have a view of the animals but got one anyway.  So relaxing to watch them walking around right under the balcony.

While in the Magic Kingdom, we asked for a sneak peek of the new Be Our Guest restaurant and got to walk around inside!  It is beautiful, but there were no available reservations this whole week and the line for lunch was so long, we decided to wait for a future trip to try it.
In EPCOT, France has expanded its bakery and now---gasp!---it actually has restrooms!  The joke has always been that you can't find a restroom in France in EPCOT, just like you can never find one in France.  But now, everything has changed.

Stopped for one night in Savannah on the way home, just to be able to have Beignets at Huey's.  We did have dinner before.  J

While we were gone, it supposedly snowed here at home, but there was no evidence of it except that the road we take to the grocery store was closed because the French Broad River has overflowed and totally flooded the fields, people’s yards, and the road.  Our subdivision was fine though.  Good to be home and on to the next plans.

Photos will be uploaded as soon as my computer stops behaving peculiarly.
