No pictures--just imagine....
No pictures today, but just had to mention how cool it was to have fireflies all over the front yard last night and to have a whole family of Canadian geese stop by the pond right in front of our house today--a mom, dad, and 4 babies!

Random Pictures of Wedding Weekend
Wedding & Baby News

The wedding weekend for Andy & Laura was a grand affair and full of so many things to do that my memories are now a whirl. The rehearsal was fun, the rehearsal dinner was great, and the “girls makeup & hair” experience was relaxing and successful. The Buddhist wedding ceremony was very special and touching and the reception was a super fun experience held in a huge salvage warehouse with movie props and stained glass and all sorts of antiques to explore, including an old-timey photo booth where you could get your silly costumed photos made.
My girls were so beautiful--Laura looked absolutely gorgeous in her Vera Wang gown & Katie was so gorgeous in her silver/grey dress. Lincoln in his suit was adorable especially as he is so enamoured with Penelope, the flower girl, and couldn’t bear to separate himself from her for more than a few minutes.
We had a great time and are now back home & Drena, Adam’s wife, has had her new baby girl, Eleanor, so I’m anxious to get down to see her soon. Five grandchildren now!
Pictures from top: Eleanor; spirit-fog dancing over our pond; the adorable blue and red birdhouse, colored just like my real house--Katie & Laura gave to me for Mother’s Day—I love it!!!; Lincoln & me at Parker Grandparents Day from October.

Nothing but Net!
I had a great time at our Neighborhood Picnic today. It is a tradition to hold it right under our big oak tree in the front yard, so we didn't change that. A huge crowd, about 30 neighbors, showed up and brought food. One was cooking up the best ribs and chicken and hot dogs. Another owns an ice cream shop in downtown Hendersonville and brought several flavors for dessert. Met some really nice people and had a great afternoon talking.
After eating and sitting around talking, several of us adjourned for several healthy, competitive rounds of Corn Hole. It's like beanbag tossing only with more complicated rules and only one hole. Ray, Brian, Chuck, and Frank were racking up the points. Then Chuck and I played Brian and Jill and I made a hole in one! I guess that's what you call it. The bag arched high over the hole and dropped straight in. I was so excited. We won 25 to 8. Yay!!!
Pictures of the neighbors gathering under our tree and of Chuck, Frank, Ray, & Brian playing Corn Hole by the creek.
