I got to thinking the other day that we must be getting old—all
my posts seem to be about watching the birds outside the kitchen window!
Ray has been kept busy using his water gun to keep this one
pesky squirrel off the feeders. The
squirrel has come up with so many ingenious ways to get to the birdfeeders no
matter how high or far from other structures Ray positions them. Some days he spends hours just trying to deal
with the problem we created by putting the feeders out to begin with. But all the wildlife is very entertaining.
And it seems that since we bought the yellow-colored feeder,
hundreds of YELLOW birds have appeared.
I didn’t even know that yellow birds exited outside of house-bound
canaries!

Our pesky squirrel actually sitting and meditating--probably about new ways to attack the birdfeeders. He sat there for the longest time with one little paw over his heart.
