Starting our next adventure today. This is the last day in our cozy Florida apartment. Everything is packed and Ray is busily loading the last of our stuff into the U-haul trailer. Tonight we’ll be down to 2 chairs, the TV, and the bed. Tomorrow morning, we head for Atlanta to put the last of our things in storage and leave the truck at my sister’s house. Dinner with Katie and Russ, then Wednesday we’re flying to Fort Lauderdale where we board our cruiseship, the Grand Princess, just out of drydock and totally refurbished, on Thursday. SO looking forward to the relaxing cruise. Packing for the move and the trip at the same time has been a bit much. Keeping my fingers crossed that all of our luggage gets to Fort Lauderdale when we do.
Once in Europe, we spend 3 months traveling around England, Wales, and Scotland, seeing as many abbeys and castles and genealogical sites related to my family tree as possible. Then we take a really cool cruise back to New York that stops in Amsterdam, Belgium, Ireland, the Faroes, Iceland, Greenland, and Nova Scotia. Once back to Atlanta, we gather our most important items and move to Asheville, NC, and into our temporary apartment while we look for a more permanent home.
So folks, as of tomorrow, we are homeless for a while, but for an exciting reason. Off to see more of the world.
